About Me
Sasha Hayward B.Sc (Hons), Lic Ac, MBAcC
I am a fully qualified acupuncturist and graduated from the City College of Acupuncture with a first-class Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic.Ac.). Since graduating I have completed post graduate studies in acupuncture for fertility, IVF and menopause. I am also NADA trained and a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
My interest in acupuncture was sparked after having acupuncture for stress and insomnia. A friend told me to try acupuncture and the result was amazing – like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders. I was converted! My first degree was in biology and so as a biologist at heart I needed to find out how it worked and so decided to study it.
I am particularly interested in how acupuncture stimulates the body to generate its own healing response, and the role of our environment, diet, and emotions on health. For me it is important to understand the root cause of the problem as well as the symptoms and to offer a treatment tailored to the individual.
I have experience in treating a wide range of conditions including pain, insomnia, stress, anxiety, tennis elbow, fertility and womens health. Alongside acupuncture needles I also use moxa, gua sha, cupping and elecro-acupuncture.
